Portland glassmaker Matthew Abadi discovered glassmaking by accident, when he stumbled into a glassblowing studio after work one evening. Taken with the medium, he moved across the country to apprentice with established talents in the Pacific Northwest. These hand blown, small scale vases reflect the artist's philosophy: "In making glass I intend to create works that are inspired by the idea that beauty can be found in simplicity, modesty and imperfection." Display the vases with a single flower or leaf, singly or in multiples. The handmade nature of this item ensures that no two are exactly alike.
