Created by legendary Italian designer Ettore Sottsass, these grinders are based on designs first introduced by Alessi in 1989 and reflect the colorful sensibility of the 80’s Memphis Group design movement. These editions have been reintroduced in honor of Alessi’s centennial anniversary as part of a new collection called Industrial Craftsmanship, consisting of products that bridge both industrial and handmade production methods. Made in Italy using hand-turned FSC-certified wood, the grinders feature a high-quality ceramic grinding mechanism suitable for pepper, salt, and other spices. When not in use, they provide cheerful color and personality to the kitchen or table.
