Christoph Hack is the man behind Hack Lederware, a Cologne-based company that makes distinctive bags and other goods. The heavy duty material used in the bags was originally a surplus fabric from the Swiss army with a distinctive red thread running through it. When the supply was used up, Hack worked with a fabric mill to replicate the sturdy fabric/linen blend. Produced in a small workshop in Cologne's trendy Belgian Quarter the bag is both rugged and elegant. Generously sized and finished with oxidized brass hardware, deerskin suede accents, bridle leather closure, linen shoulder strap. Two interior pockets, one with two pockets for phone and pens and an additional zippered pocket for valuables.
