Creating designs inspired by her childhood spent in Japan, Mizuki Tsurutaka apprenticed with an expert fine jeweler in Los Angeles before establishing her own line there under the name of Black Barc. Her personal heritage is reflected in her use of the traditional Japanese techniques of mokumegane and kiribame. The results are timeless, beautiful pieces in 14k and 18k gold and sterling silver that display their hand-crafted qualities through slightly softened profiles and an organic appeal.

The Fuji Earrings are inspired by the wisteria flower—fuji means wisteria in Japanese—the handmade elements resemble the wisteria flowers which dangle from the stem. The earrings are threader style—they do not come with a back and are adjustable in length by pulling the post.
