Petite Bottle Vases

Portland glassmaker Matthew Abadi discovered glassmaking by accident, when he stumbled into a glass blowing studio walking home after work one evening. Taken with the medium, he moved across the country to apprentice with established talents in the Pacific Northwest. These small, hand-blown vases feature soft, rounded forms and colors inspired by the natural world--no two are exactly alike. Each vase reflects the artist's philosophy: "In making glass I intend to create works that are inspired by the idea that beauty can be found in simplicity, modesty, and imperfection."
