Black Barc - Kiku Earrings

Sold Out

Creating designs inspired by her childhood spent in Japan, Mizuki Tsurutaka apprenticed with an expert fine jeweler in Los Angeles before establishing her own line there under the name of Black Barc. Her personal heritage is reflected in her use of the traditional Japanese techniques of mokumegane and kiribame. The results are timeless, beautiful pieces in 14k and 18k gold and sterling silver that display their hand-crafted qualities through slightly softened profiles and an organic appeal.

The Kiku Earrings are inspired by the petals of the chrysanthemum flower--kiku means chrysanthemum in Japanese--itself a meaningful symbol in Japanese culture. The gently curved shaped and slim profile of the earrings have a fresh, bright look and are very flattering to the face.
