Chitose Bath Tray
Sold Out
The Hirosaki region of northern Japan is famous for its crop of delicious apples. The apple trees themselves, when no longer productive, are often cut up to be used as firewood or simply discarded. This unique small tray makes fresh use of this resource, as the apple wood is worked and reborn as useful and beautifully detailed bath items. The warm beauty of the apple wood is offset by a white marble-like acrylic resin base, which protects the item from water. The wood is finished with a protective matte lacquer; however, it should not remain continuously wet. Made in Japan.
