Washi Matou Waffle Weave Bath Towels

$58.00

These innovative Japanese towels are created with threads made of washi—the traditional paper made from the bark of the mulberry tree. Washi has long been used in Japan for shoji screens, now new technology allows 1-4 mm wide strands of washi to be cut and twisted into soft but durable thread material. This porous thread material has tiny holes on the surface, allowing it to absorb water faster than cotton. Because it contains a lot of air, it dries easily and feels smooth to the touch. Combined with recycled cotton, it creates a towel that is exceptionally soft and gentle on both your skin and the environment. The classic waffle weave texture provides additional absorbency and an ultra-lightweight, lofty feel.

Machine wash gentle cycle only, tumble dry on low heat or line dry.
