This 100% natural sponge is made from the roots of a vegetable fiber called Konjac (an edible plant) and a micro-fine powder of Binchotan charcoal. Long popular in Japan for its purifying qualities, Binchotan charcoal is created by burning oak branches over extremely high temperatures and then rapidly cooling them. The result is the highest quality activated charcoal, valued for its purifying and anti-bacterial qualities.
