Earth, Sky & Water showcases thirteen serene homes by Danish architect Mette Lange, each designed with natural materials and a deep connection to its surroundings. Organized into three chapters—“By the Water,” “In the Forest,” and “In the Countryside”—the book features inviting photography and first-person project texts that reveal Lange’s distinctive approach, including her practice of camping on-site to shape each design.

Alongside these Scandinavian summerhouses, the book highlights Lange’s socially conscious work designing schools for children of migrant workers in India, as well as her own home there. With a foreword by architecture critic Kenneth Frampton, this volume offers both visual inspiration and insight into running a small, sustainable studio rooted in narrative, place, and purpose.
