La Sablésienne crafts authentic Sablé-Sur-Sarthe shortbread, a cherished specialty of French culinary heritage. These round, jagged-edged biscuits are made with pure fresh butter and follow a traditional recipe passed down through generations in the town of Sablé. First introduced to the court of the Grand Condé in 1670 by the Marquise de Sablé, the Petit Sablé continues to honor its legacy with every bite. Each biscuit is made using natural ingredients sourced primarily from western France—fresh butter from Pays de la Loire, flour from local Sarthois millers, and eggs from free-range hens.
