Nousaku Wind Chimes

$100.00

Wind chimes are popular throughout Japan, where their gentle, tinkling sound is thought to provide a cooling effect on sultry summer days. These brass wind chimes represent a modern update to traditional chimes with their striking, geometric forms. Created by traditional casting techniques and finished by hand, they yield a clear, classic sound that soothes and calms.

In 1916, Nousaku began manufacturing Buddhist ritual objects, tea sets, and vases made of brass and bronze in Takaoka, Japan. Over time, the city became known as the center of the copper industry in Japan. Today Nousaku continues to make high quality metal objects for the home, specializing in sand casting production techniques.

Each chime is approximately 1.75" x 1.75". Laminated paper sail is 7.75". Suspension cord is 12.5".
