These beautiful, heirloom quality tools are hand crafted according to traditional methods by Austrian coppersmiths using a special copper-tin-alloy with a copper content of more than 92%. The bronze is cold-hardened to gain the necessary hardness of the material. The tools pass through seven steps during production: cutting, beating, soldering, welding, sanding, polishing and fitting of the handles. An artisan wood turner makes the handles from European hardwoods, which are then treated with a finishing oil. Bronze tools have a number of advantages over steel tools: they enrich soils with copper trace elements while remaining strong, sharp and always rust-free.
