WRF Lab Stoneware Vases

Born in Japan, Nobuhito Nishigawara’s family name translates to West River Field which is the namesake for his line of handmade stoneware, WRF Lab. Fusing Japanese artisan traditions with his work as a contemporary artist, each piece is handcrafted in his Southern California studio. Subtle variations in color, form and finish are intrinsic qualities reflecting the handmade nature of these special pieces. These generously sized vases are hand thrown on the potter's wheel and high-fired to create very durable and dense pottery.
