Sola Cylinders - Feathers

The concept for Sola Cylinders marries two traditional Japanese values: a reverence for nature and a philosophical appreciation of small, humble elements that are easily overlooked. Each cylinder is cast from crystal clear acrylic resin and then hand polished, right down to its crisp, micro-radiused edge. Considerable craftsmanship is required to make each piece, ensuring that no air bubbles are present. Preserved inside is a single feather—presented individually or in groups, the cylinders create an opportunity for a meditative moment on the beauty and power of the natural world. Made in Japan.
